ELIZABETH MAIER

Elizabeth Maier is an attorney, nursing facility administrator and licensed clinical social worker who  joined the firm as an associate in 2007 to focus on medical malpractice defense. While working previously as the assistant administrator at a local nursing home, she became a licensed nursing facility administrator. She also has extensive experience as a social worker and case manager at a large, community-owned general hospital in Acadiana. There, she worked with patients in multiple units of the hospital  including ER, physical rehabilitation, orthopedics, neurosurgery/neurology, and women’s and children’s services. Elizabeth earned a bachelor's in English and a master's in social work from LSU. After years in teaching and social work, she returned to LSU and graduated from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center. Elizabeth is a member of the Louisiana and American Bar Associations. Currently, her practice focuses on nursing home malpractice and general liability claims and nursing home regulatory issues.
