Nick Sigur has a long history with the Gachassin firm, first joining the practice in the 1980s then returning in 2020. Nick attended Immaculata Seminary at the start of high school then graduated from St. Michaels in Crowley (now Notre Dame).  He received his undergraduate degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California while serving in the Navy. Nick then attended law school at the University of Florida where he served on Law Review and was Order of the Coif. He served 11 years in the Navy as a computer technician and paralegal before going to law school, then he clerked for a U. S. Court of Appeals judge after Law School.

Nick’s areas of practice include professional liability and health care law. He has also worked with the Kairos Prison Ministry principally at Angola since the 1980s.

Nick was born in Abbeville and grew up in Crowley. He now lives in Broussard with his wife of 50 years, Rosemary. Nick and his wife have two children, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
